The two most important things in a kitten's life are sleeping and playing. Domestic tigers sleep a lot, sometimes up to 20 hours or more a day. Quite normal, as growing into an adult cat takes a lot of energy. The remaining hours of the day are reserved for eating, grooming and playing. Play together with your kitten as much as possible to strengthen your bond and just because it's so much fun! Kittens are 'on' at the drop of a hat and are interested in everything that moves. This is due to the hunting instinct ingrained in every cat's nature. Whether you go wild with a play rod or a wool tail, playing with your kitten is the most fun there is!
To care for your kitten, you will need a few things. Remedies to keep him worming and de-fleaing example. Until the age of six months, kittens should be wormed every month and after that, vets recommend doing it at least four times a year. You will prevent a lot of misery, such as diarrhoea and vomiting. Just make sure the worming product you use is suitable for kittens! If your furry housemate is eight weeks old and weighs at least 1 kg, you can also start de-fleaing. Another tip for caring for your kitten: start as young as possible with brushing, so your kitten can get used to the feeling and allow it later in life. You use a special cat brush for this.
